Incredible

I had a spa appointment this morning. The young lady used to be based near our village, but has now moved to a new business in Lincoln. It’s hard to believe that this scene is within the ring road boundary.

I had never been there before, but the directions were accurate and the delightful building was a mile down a track. We had plenty of chat and news to catch up on.

On the way back up the track I met up with a chap who was filling in holes. We exchanged a few words and I commented on the lovely scenery, so close to the city centre. He informed me that there are plans to build in the area. A new football stadium for Lincoln City, 3,200 homes, a primary school, hotel, restaurants and shops!!!! Not sure how everything fits in from an access point of view, certainly not down the lane that I travelled.

On the way home I filled up the tank with petrol, as I was down to a quarter of a tank. The 32 litres cost me £59 !!!!! The only positive thing that I can say is that the last time I filled up was in March 2020!!!

I remember when I had a Saturday job in the garage in a village in Worcestershire, I was still at school at the time. The price of petrol was less than a £ for 4 gallons!!! It was pre decimalisation, so working out the pounds, shillings and pence and dealing with real money was good practice for my maths O level!!!

A beautiful day, much warmer than the last few!!!
