Spring at last

When I left home on Thursday these beauties were still in bud. What a difference a few days of sunshine, and a bit of rain can make! At last our garden is beginning to look as it should at this time of year although the grass is still very slow and pretty sick looking.

I've had a very pleasant few days catching up with friends and family, as well as a successful conference on Friday. The next few weeks are going to be chaotic as the building of our extension reaches its conclusion and the new kitchen is fitted. So it's good to have had a wee relax before all the upheaval! Still it will all be worthwhile when it's finally done.
