Afternoon walk

The weather today was very warm for a winters day so we decided to go for a walk this afternoon. We came down one of our favourite paths through a nearby bush area. As we headed back up to our house we spotted this pohutukawa flowering. This will normally only flower in the summer. It is known as the New Zealand Christmas tree. I hope this is not a side effect of climate change.
