D-Day Anniversary

This is a photo of the poster that I brought back and framed from attending the 60th anniversary of D-Day in France. That was on June 6th, 2004 which is now 18 years ago. I would love to be back there again for the celebrations in 2 years' time for their 80th.

It was a week of celebrations and functions to attend, based around Caen. I was invited to be there to do a video and photographic record for the British Commandos who were the special guests of honour. They were the 46 Royal Marines Commando.

They were welcomed as honoured guests in the Normandy towns they liberated - ROTS, BAYEUX, RANVILLE, SALLENELLES, SANNERVILLE, DOZULÉ HILL 112 and BEUZEVILLE.
