Jubilee Finale

I noted from other Scottish Blippers that the weather was much better north of the border today!
Here it was cool and drizzly all day.
We gave all our grandchildren a souvenir book about the Platinum Jubillee. The Wiltshire one went by Royal Mail and the local one was hand delivered.
We watched the People’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant this afternoon. We really enjoyed it.
Our oldest friends in Edinburgh. I have known D since 1976, called for a FaceTime chat this evening. They have taken a cottage in the Cotswolds later in the summer. It will be great to see them in three dimensions again then!

Ukraine were knocked out of the FIFA World Cup in Cardiff this afternoon. The Ukrainian soldiers were watching this match, as they had done earlier when they beat Scotland, on phones in the trenches on the front line. A sobering thought on a day of British Platinum Jubilee celebrations
