They’re changing guard at Buckingham Palace…

These Grenadier guards have given Esmée and myself lots of fun this weekend. They’ve marched, been injured, bandaged and looked after their horse. One has even married Alice, so says Christopher Robin. Amazing what paper soldiers can do. A soldier’s life is terribly hard, says Alice.

A lovely time with the family before heading back after breakfast this morning. Both journeys to and from Cambridge have been wonderfully traffic free.

Once home we headed for London to catch what we could of the Jubilee Pageant. The highlights this evening have filled us in on much we didn’t see, but having been there for the last two jubilees, we’re pleased we made the effort.
