My sister and two neices visited this afternoon and we all went across the road to an event which was being hosted by the Uckfield Lions Club. The Lions have a shop in town where they sell secondhand books and puzzles and they brought some along to their stall today.

My favourite part of the afternoon was a display of birds of prey (see extra for a photo of the white bellied sea eagle). Generally I don't like to see animals in captivity, although these seemed to be well cared for and the handler seemed genuinely attached to them, talking about their different needs and personalities.

I've just cooked the tea and spoken to D o the phone so time to watch a documentary about the Black Death :-)
