Special Friends
Our last day in Bulgaria and instead of heading off with the tour to watch the rose parade in Kazanlak, we had a leisurely morning and then our dear friends Svetla and her daughter Katia drove over from their town, Stara Zagora, to see us. We had a wonderful catch up after quite a few years of not seeing them - the last time was in the UK. We had a lovely lunch in a restaurant near the hotel. Katia spent three years at art college in Bournemouth and is now studying architecture in the capital Sofia. She speaks incredibly good English and so was able to translate, almost instantaneously, for us all - brilliant!
Early start tomorrow as we all leave on different flights and head home to the UK, France, Germany and the United States. It's been a wonderful tour.
