Day 4 - Civic Service

Sunday 5th June 2022

A large ecumenical service this morning with civic signatories and local organisations, the silver band and our choir. 190 in church, with quite a few missing due to half term  A mix of Pentecost and Jubilee for all ages. A joyous time followed by refreshments at the village hall.

This letterbox keeps getting redecorated. I love the crown but I'm concerned that the guards seem to be asleep on duty. :-)

I came home and fell asleep after lunch. The emotional energy that went into preparing and leading a service with so many taking part was quite a drain. I just woke up in time to go back to church for the evening service.
