The setting, near the top of Corstorphine hill and high enough that planes landing at Edinburgh airport (one is just visible in the background) almost look lower down, meant it was cold, and the faintest of rainbows in the picture tells you that it wasn't dry either, but conditions were still better than they've been for months now, with sunlight occassionally threatening to break through.

The football was mixed too; a good performance in the first half but a second half that means there'll be "a lot to work on" in training next week. A contrast with yesterday's convincing victory, but things to be learned from both.
