Just waiting for the incoming tide

Low tide this afternoon so while the boats remained firmly anchored in the sand the great area of exposed hard sand just in front of the Ship Inn was an ideal area for a game of beach cricket.

The Ship Inn, wearing green were first to bat. I know very little about football and even less about cricket but there were plenty of people in The Ship beer garden and they certainly understood all that was happening.

Back home now and just in case it is too warm tonight I have my fan on standby.
