A new poppy flower head ready to bloom

I have to blip our poppy every year, and today is the day. I brought an offshoot of the plant from my parents' house in Berkshire. (For music nerds, I've always loved the album called 'Dear Mr Fantasy', by Traffic, which had a track called 'Berkshire Poppies', written at their cottage in the countryside in Berkshire in about 1968.)

I've blipped this bud, as I prefer it to the picture of today's fully open poppy flower, which I've added as an 'Extra'. The bud will open wide by tomorrow morning and be about six inches in diameter.
