Passing Strangers
Saturday amd time to depart from Cornwall and head home, but not without taking a stop off at Tintagel Castle, a medieval fortification located on the peninsula of Tintagel Island adjacent to the village of Tintagel, North Cornwall. Inextricably linked with the legend of King Arthur, for centuries this dramatic castle and coastline has fired the imaginations of writers, artists, and even the brother of a king.
Due to the rugged coastal landscape, there are steep slopes, sheer drops and uneven surfaces which can present a challenge to visitors here, which is indeed what we found. But like the rest of the holiday, it offered wonderful opportunities to take some photos,
And since we were last here just over 40 years ago, they have
built a new footbridge from the mainland to the headland. And whilst enjoying a nice drink after having traveresed the many ups and downs of the landscape around the area on a rather warm sunny day, this passing of two tourists on the bridge presented a food opportuinty for a photo.
Thanks for all the views and stars for yesterday's sun setting photo
