A View from the Country

The weather was beautiful again today although a bit cold. I took a small detour on the way to work and ran into this scene. The field is beside the road behind some trees and a stone wall. As I drove by, the view struck me and I immediately pulled over and ventured into the field.

I love the bright yellow flowers and how they contrast with the red house in the distance. I composed this to emphasize the flowers and am pleased with the results. I also took another version where I was standing up (versus crouching here) and the difference is substantial. You can see the other shot here.
