Packed

Disappointed to see cloud when we woke but headed out to South Queensferry anyway to collect sea glass which I’d promised to take AR to do. Helpful that it was chilly and the beach is so stony as that meant they were less keen to dive into the waves and get all wet and sandy. We quickly started finding the sea glass though….there’s just so much there…and spent an hour filling their boxes.
We all had burger and chips (and Mx had some pretty violent coloured blackcurrant juice!) overlooking the beach and bridges.
As we drive across to the Kelpies the clouds cleared and we got their bike and scooter out to explore around the park there. Few whinges from AR about the hills but they both enjoyed the Lego area of the visitors centre and the big expanses of flat areas to whizz around on.
Home for a bit a rest, hoping to coddle Mx through the rest of the evening. We had tickets for Lion King for Mt’s birthday and it was spectacular. Despite being very tired Mx stayed awake and glued to it throughout, and AR loved it, especially the hyenas, the elephant and giraffes. It was so well done…really good. Home late, and straight to bed!
