Stillness

This morning we sat on the deck with Andrew and over coffee marvelled at the stillness of the estuary.  Afterwards we took ourselves off to Monaco to walk beside the water.  There were bikers, kayakers, and walkers.  It was so still I could hear the traffic on the expressway across the water.  The woman on the wharf had ridden her bike out here and was having a water break.  The woman in the kayak had paddled in from further out in the estuary.  I believe the green things in the back of the kayak are what she puts her kayak on and then wheels it up from the beach.

Walking In The Sunshine    Roger Miller

Walkin' in the sunshine, sing a little sunshine song
Put a smile upon your face as if there's nothing wrong
Think about a good time had a long time ago
Think about forgetting about your worries and your woes
Walkin' in the sunshine, sing a little sunshine song . . .
