White-tailed Eagle
White-tailed eagles usually target water-based birds as prey. In the Baltic the diet of this species consists mainly of sea birds and pike.
This time it attacked to little islet where gulls live.
Look large, its better :D
This is a relatively rare sight, I never seen it before. I have heard lately has made number of observations of White- tailed Eagle with ice fishers, when end of winter caused lack of food. Ice Fishers has given rough fish to eagles.
I was already back in mainland, when I heard gulls making loud noise, and noticed two huge birds high in sky. Quickly I grabbed my camera from car trunk. Luckily it had my 300mm on, so I was able to get some shots of attack to gull-islet. Its too far away, and colors are off- I know.
But wanted to blip it anyway.
So made it look beautiful with PicMonkey.
Back home now and wondering where all snow has gone while I was at cottage? Garden seems to scream my name....
