The last, and final entry in the Pub Portrait series is this guy

One of the Young Uns, but the bridge between the two groups.

The guy who as a 15/16 year old starred in Murder Off the Orient Express, with the old uns.

The guy who watched Harry and the Teacakes [a covers band] and thought it was great.

The guy who went on walking weekends in his early 20s with some middle aged fellas, in their mid 30s.

Fast forward to now, he's in his early 50s, and has been enjoying this group of friends for 35 years or more. They have always been there, whatever he's done. Computer programmer, canoe instructor, summer camp organiser or owner of his own IT businesses, a Friday night, with beer, has never been far away.

2 of the groups offspring work for him, 3 are bandmates, and most are customers to a degree, but that's just because he always is happier helping. A doer, an organiser.

He's a man of hobbies. Photographer, slow runner, reasonable musician, occasional sketcher and painter. Never afraid to have a go at something.

To sum him up in a quick blip is hard, so look back through this journal, as DB is me.
