Burn O Vat

This is the Burn O Vat at Dinnet near Ballater.
Legend has it that farmers took their VAT returns here to burn if the VAT Inspectors rejected them. The farmers then set fire to them until dousing out the flames with some of the water. This was supposed to bring good luck for their next returns.
Back from Ballater. We had a fine day yesterday. It was fairly warm and we had a walk alongside the River Dee. Tea and drinks with our friends.
Today it started rather grey but it brightened up enough for us to have another walk.
Lunch with our niece and her family before returning home.
