Daisy, daisy

I watched a little of the lead-up to the church service at St Paul’s, in particular the arrrival of the extended royals.  I used to be able to name the majority of them, but would struggle these days.

Whilst keeping an eye on the tv, I made sandwiches for this afternoon’s party on the second playing field, which we were going to with our friends.  I also drove round there with a picnic table and a couple of chairs after chatting to a neighbour over the fence, which completely put me off my stride.  Locked the garage, drove round, came back and the front door was wide open.

We’ve had a brilliant afternoon and I think there must have been around fifty of us enjoying the sunshine, wining, dining, playing games and chatting.  Even the new Ukrainian families (who speak impeccable English) were there with their hosts and joining in the fun.

I’ve spent most of the afternoon on a fold-up picnic chair and amazingly my back feels so much better.  I have no intention of pushing my luck and doing anything stupid, but fingers crossed it’s improving.
