Red Horse Chestnut

We only discovered this at the back of our garden a few years ago - it came as one of a job lot of young trees from a nearby nursery that was throwing out things which had lost their labels.

I have blipped it before but it is very striking from a certain angle as every year it produces more and more of these impressive flowers . In fact our only regret is that it wasn’t planted in a more visible spot .

As you can guess from this I am also still waiting for a negative LFT - seven days and I am still positive and still feeling under the weather.
