Fairlie

What a fabulous day I’ve had…a girls day out.
I was picked up at 10 am then back into Timaru (I live in the country just south of Timaru) to pick up another three ladies, we then headed inland to Fairlie.  The reason, was to spend the day with an old friend of all of us who had recently lost her husband.  We spent an hour at her home sipping on a very pleasant Pinot Gris and generally having a lovely catch-up with each other. 
From there we travelled out into the country to The Farm Barn, situated up on the hills with incredible 360° rural and mountain views.  My blip isn’t the mountains but more rolling downs (the mountains are to the left). 
The Iceberg roses still flourishing taking in the view as well.
Put eight ladies around a table (too chilly to sit outside) is a guarantee there will be plenty of chatter, stories, laughter and noise.  Special times  sharing happy memories from our teenage years up to recent times.  Of course some sadness too.
