Platinum Jubilee

I searched through a few draws to find any memorabilia I have to help the Queen celebrate her Platinum Jubilee.

From left to right:  Old school journal printed for the coronation in 1953.  The medal was given to all the school children to celebrate the Royal Visit in 1953.  The solar toys are The Queen, her Corgi and a Piper.  The Coronation photo in the background is a NZ Post presentation pack celebrating her 60th Anniversary of the Coronation.  The two dollar coins are her 60th Anniversary, and her 80th birthday..  Of course there has to be a 70 in there somewhere!  Other items are an old post box and the small tin used to have Campbells Shortbread fingers.

We are looking forward to watching the Trooping of the Colour on TV tonight, as well as the other celebration events during the weekend.

There are no shop windows in town celebrating the jubilee, so am loving the blips from the UK.
