Óðinshani - Turdus iliacus

Óðinshani is the Faroese name for Redwing. Directly translated the name means Odin's cock (the bird, not the appendage). It is a rare breeding bird in the Faroes, but in periods they arrive in greater numbers than usual (on migration to Iceland perhaps). This seems to be one of those years. Unfortunately this was the best picture I could get, and it had already started raining, as you can see from the picture.
