Sally Mair - Loving life

Flutter by!

I was up sharp this morning as the girls were coming for the day. Their dad kindly delayed his start and dropped them off at 9 for me. Colin has headed up to Banchory to his mum he gave seen her since before we went away.
It was warm and sunny so we spent all morning in the garden , they played happily and I didn't need to take them somewhere more interesting! Eilidh rescued a bee with some sugary water and Isobel spotted this butterfly. I wasn't sure what it was as it refused to show me the other side of its wings, any suggestions are welcome.(That way I'll know whether I madeup my suggestion or not)
I spoke to the orthopaedic trauma physio team on the phone today, they phoned yesterday but I wasn't available at the time. The consultant has reviewed my xrays and is happy with my splint. They've offered me a cast though, if it gets too painful. I really don't want to go down that road though if I can avoid it. They've given me a number to call though if I need any more support, so I can't complain.
Ali and Josie came over at lunchtime. Josie seems a little under the weather and has a rash. We had our second dose of NHS in action for the day. In this case, they really were superb. Within an hour Ali had spoken to NHS24, the nurse and a doctor, she'd been advised and asked to call in to the pharmacy just so somebody could look and then advised (by the pharmacist) to get a GP appointment today because of the holiday weekend. Within 2 hours she'd seen the doctor and had some medication, reassurance and advice. They think it is something viral so are treating the rash. Josie has a slight temperature but wasn't really up nor down.
This evening I finally got around to some of tasks I'd been putting off because of my wrist, but the fish are now clean and the worst of the dust has been moved around a bit!
