Potatoes & Poppies

An even better day today as far as the queasy stomachs go • MrsP and I planted 3 varieties of potatoes. We’re almost a week behind but it shouldn’t make too much of a difference. Since we’ve had good luck growing them in large felt bags in previous years why would this year be any different. We’re experienced with Reds, Fingerlings and Evas, but added a new one this year for fun, Katahdin. Our goal is to finish off the Evas by Saturday • I’m picking away at weeding around the yard. The recent rain exploded all kinds of unwanted plants in all the wrong places. More rain is due tomorrow • This poppy put an immediate smile on my face this morning. I’ve been anxious for a pod to open, now there’s six more to go • Stay Well, Be Safe, Find Joy!
