Souvenir
My Blip is a double page spread from an actual newspaper and one that I do not buy, or subscribe to, but one that I knew would have a comprehensive guide to the 4 day platinum jubilee weekend. I will keep this in my personal archive as a souvenir of a unique milestone in the history of our country.
We watched the pomp and circumstance of the goings on on The Mall on TV. We saw the Queen, her three heirs and an air pageant that was a fascinating flight through aviation since 1940.
In the afternoon I helped our new neighbours prepare for a garden party which we are both looking forward to tomorrow afternoon.
Tonight, a Jubilee Beacon will be lit on the highest point of the Cotswolds : Cleeve Hill. I am not sure whether it will be visible from our house due to the topography and not the meteorology!
Last night Scotland lost to Ukraine 1-3. It was a fair result. Scotland’s wait goes on but many Scots will join the rest of the free world, in supporting Ukraine as they play Wales later this weekend.
