North Shields this morning...

...to the Old Low Light to view an art exhibition with Sue & Richard...
...and Sue bought Richard an early birthday present in the process...

The abstract is the red buoy on the fishquay, and the extra collage is from the "folk who shaped Shields" exhibition on the middle floor - despite being locals ourselves, Sue and I decided that we weren't taught anywhere near enough about local history when we were at school! 
We didn't know anything about Nora Balls at all, and we were pretty sketchy on Irvin and Spence...
