Taking a moment

Enjoying the first of two public holidays. It’s not been a bad week so far, memorial
Day on Monday and then most people this side of the pond taking the week off. So by close of play Wednesday, much progress had been made, made possible with minimal interruptions.

Anyway, that brings me to today. A splendid day, cool yet warm. Sunshine, but not enough to burn. Hills, but not obscene (ok some were quite steep). So a trip out for coffee just short of Matlock Bath and the ride home needed a cheeky ice cream just west of Derby.

Anyway, on my return home I found this little fella. Tuckered out, however enjoying the safety afforded by an ambivalent Labrador and the proximity to the house.

So here we are, enjoying an extra holiday, bunting galore and cakes aplenty. Here’s to many more jubilees!
