Marsh fritillaries

Not a bad day, I checked the beehives and they seem to be making some honey.
Then we went to our local Marsh Fritillaries site, even though it was rather late in the afternoon. We counted at least 12 butterflies, mostly roosting in the vegetation, so looking promising for a good flight.
