Mum and the Queen

Today the oldest resident of our village announced that she would like to go for a short wheelchair ride to see bunting and scarecrows.

We had an immediate problem because one of the footrests would not snap into place and flew off at all angles. This was a complete surprise. I could not fix it, so Mum had to balance both feet on the other footrest.

We were please that the Queen had returned to Humshaugh for another walk about and delighted she had brought two corgis along with her. Note the colour coordination of the two elderly ladies!

Mum saw a few scarecrows in the main street. I've since found a way to fix the wheelchair, but it's still not very secure.

First thing today I was making bunting to hang around our front walls. It looks good but is made of heavy paper, so I fear that the rain this evening will damage it.....
