Photo Finish .....

...... in fact a dead heat!

Many, many thanks for all the hearts for my birthday blip yesterday. I finally made the popular page, just broke into the top ten in fact. It's taken 4 years but has been worth the wait :-)

Talking about waits, after watching the Jubilee flypast on TV this morning we realised the Red Arrows were scheduled to fly over us this afternoon. We heard them but didn't see them on the outward leg but I was more hopeful about the return leg as the route looked to go directly over our house. We waited patiently for them in the garden and to add to the suspense a helpful neighbour started mowing his lawn, which reduced the chances of us getting an audible warning of their approach. We did hear them again though, and we did catch a fleeting glimpse of them, but they were way off the expected route, and too far away for a photo.

Luckily I already had this one in the bag. We had taken the boys down to the playground to give daughter#1 and SIL a bit of a break. Joe wanted to go on the zip wire, but thank goodness he couldn't reach the seat so we were able to move on.

We are now waiting for our Indian takeaway delivery.

Update: it's just arrived :-)
