A domestic day

It was wet and windy most of the day, so I decided after a lazy morning to make some feta cheese and a chocolate slice that I’d just seen a recipe for. The feta won’t be ready to put into a brine until the morning as it needs to drain some more overnight.  The chocolate slice is a “no bake” recipe, so it’s sitting in the freezer.

The blip shows the feta draining over a bowl, that catches the whey, which can then be used in soups and for making bread.

There are 7,870 new community cases today, and the seven-day rolling average is 6,937 compared to 7,095  last Thursday. The number of people in hospital is 393, including 8 in ICU. Another 13 deaths have been reported, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,197 and the seven-day rolling average to 14.
