Setting The Bar

My Dear Princess and Dear Friends,

I went into work again today. I had fun.

I don't know how long this will last or if at some point life in Kāinga Ora will turn into the previous jobs I've had. I just know that right now I feel happy and relaxed.

I suppose all I need is a random @rsehole as a PM. Today Erica* told me that one of her other PMs asked her to step in and run all the meetings.

"It was when I was running all these meetings that I realised she'd scheduled the same guy to give the same update three times," she told me.

"I've given this update TWICE now," the man complained at lunchtime.

"I know," sighed Erica. "See you at our next meeting."

And of course, this time last year I was working for an @rsehole PM before Shenée rode in on her white charger and saved me.

So. You know. There are still @rseholes.

But for now I'm just enjoying myself.

I've been asked to give a presentation on Project Gromit and have written something that I hope is funny and entertaining. Today's picture is my first slide which is about me setting the bar for the next person to do a presentation.

Hopefully it will go well. And it will be part of my campaign to get that Lead BA job. And then no more @rsehole Project Managers. Wouldn't that be something?

S.

* Erica is the project coordinator on Project Laura. I like her a lot, she's fun.
