Next week a friend and I are off to cycle this route around Dumfries and Galloway. So I’m getting ready. Firstly by another bike ride with my other group, more people to catch up with and a good lot of hills by our local standards. And then a bit of fun dismembering an old car atlas and marking up the route with a fluorescent pen. We do have modern navigation aids too but I so like to see things laid out on a proper map too.
