Screen Machine

Cannon and I took the wee ones in this morning then we came home and he got to work in the garden and I had some peace in the house. I really treasure my time alone to get on top of housework and listen to podcasts without being asked for something. The boys finished planting all the veg out (squash and corn today), a lovely hot sunny day in the garden. This evening I went to the Screen Machine (a mobile cinema that visits the Highlands and Islands) with a friend to watch the new Downton Abbey film. I’ve not watched the series but enjoyed the film, particularly the beautiful shots of the buildings and it was nice to go out. I came home to a bucket of langoustines (another crustaceous thank you from the neighbour for the cat rescuer). We boiled them then fried them in butter with an obnoxious amount of garlic, absolutely delicious.
