Hexham

H. gave us a tour of the Abbey in the morning, then all we had to do was to cycle to Newcastle. The Hadrian's Wall route is very pleasant and if it hadn't been raining most of the way, it would have been an extremely enjoyable end to our cycling weekend. As it was, it wasn't too bad but cold and wet. We got changed in Newcastle's station and each took trains home - F to London and me to Edinburgh where SparseRunner picked me up.
