All Lined Up....and Ready To Go

Tuesday and Day 11 of our Cornwall Holiday.  Today we stayed a little more local, venturing over to St Ives.  The problem with St Ives is that due to its popularity, it can be difficult to find parking and after we found no spaces in two that we knew, ended up going to the big main one that overlooks the town although is quite a walk to the town....not so problematic going down but walking up after a decent dinner, then not so much fun.

But at least there was a bus service, so we thought job done and parked up.  However when we got on the bus, I thoughfuly asked what time the buses stopped running and was told 18:30 which was not any good for us as our table was booked for 19:00. 

When we showed ourr disappointment, the bus driver said that as we had only been in the car park for 10 minutes, that there was a period of grace and that we could get out without paying for the first hour and then kindly gave us directions to a smaller less known car park that stayed open much longer.  So that was very helpful and a lot closer to the town and harbour.

An enoyable afternoon was had and a lovely meal too - but the restuarat was heaving so a good job we booked.
