Lupins. The Piggy Park.

The Feast Day of Saint Justin.
I am happy to share with you that my Great Nephew is one year old today. He is having a family visit as a birthday treat to Longleat. I have never visited there myself, so I am hoping for some family photos.
I have only met my Great Nephew once, but my sister sends regular snaps of him and it has brought joy to see him growing.
The weather is mixed with clouds, sunshine and it is 16c. It rained over night. All good for the plants and the gardens. I moved the bird feeding pole and the starlings were eating avidly this morning, but flew away before I could photo them.
I took a photo of these colourful lupins at the food growing area yesterday. I have grown lupins here in my kitchen, from seeds and they are a joy to observe growing. I have no hope of them producing flowers this year.
My Calendula seeds have made better progress and some mint is coping well, being resilient to the cold and rain and various changes in the weather, that other plants struggle with.
I am waiting as patiently as possible for the washer dryer to be delivered. I miss doing our washing and drying since the previous one stopped working. I have found other things to occupy that time but I have to wash the clothes this evening.
Have a good Wednesday and enjoy the splendid Jubilee Bank Holiday.
