Tuesday: Oscar

So, unbeknownst to me, Oscar Petersen came from Montreal.  Quite how that translates into a statue in Ottawa, I’m not quite sure.

I came home early today because K was assaulted by a homeless person.  She was walking to the supermarket when she was punched hard in the chest and had expletives hurled at her.  Bystanders intervened and the police also came.  As you might expect, she was shaken and upset.

We know that mental health issues are at the bottom of this but when you’re on the receiving end of violence it’s still shocking.
