Reg
Couldn't resist this quick shot of Reg sat in the chair next to mine; his chair I'm sure he'd say if he could talk. He had his eye on the wildlife outside the big windows. There's usually a pheasant or two parading out there along with all the much smaller birds. There's quite often a cat which only dares enter the garden when Reg is not in it!
It's been yet another damp and grey day but no gardening today. I had an appointment at the 'joint injection' surgery to have my thumb inspected. The last week or so the triggering has stopped but I still can't use scissors without pain. Both the GP and his student prodded at my thumb and concluded that it is tendon damage which is probably slowly repairing, although possibly won't ever completely be "like new"! I was given the option of having the steroid injection or waiting for next months joint surgery to see if there is more improvement. I opted to wait as it has improved so much over the last few weeks. If it continues to be as painful with scissor use I'll have the injection next month.
I went to my sewing group after the appointment and had a good old chinwag with my friends over a cuppa and a biscuit. We all did a bit of sewing or knitting. It's really good watching other people's projects grow with discussion about them as well as all the other news we have to share. One lady didn't have any projects on the go so just chatted. She was interested in the dishcloths/ facecloths that I'm knitting and has decided that's what she will do next to use up the balls of cotton that she has. I'm really enjoying making mine and have given lots away to family and friends and friends of friends! It's become a bit addictive as they are so quick and easy.
Tomorrow I'm hoping the weather will at least be dry as I want to get out into the garden again. I have beans to plant!
