So often you see these sort of small signs on the railings of New Town buildings and they are prohibiting the securing of bikes. A pleasant surprise to see that this is encouraging cycling customers to make use of the railings to park their bikes. I had actually walked there to collect my new specs, but met L who had cycled into town to visit the apple shop to get her phone battery replaced. We had a tea/coffee in a place on the outside of the St James Centre - place your order on a touch screen but the drinks came promptly to our table, delivered by a friendly waitress, so I forgave the excessive technology. I then walked home (good bit of exercise for the day) while L picked up her new Ukulele and her revitalised phone.
