Crossing the Border
backblip - will fill in the actual holiday soon
Left sister's about 8.30 to get the 10am train from KIng's Cross and arrived in plenty of time.
The train was very busy and some people were being very awkward by sitting in reserved seats and refusing to move, saying the guard had said to sit anywhere - he hadn't. (He'd actually said that they couldn't find a free seat (mostly in 1 carriage) and didn't want to stand then to get off and get the next train). Anyway, some people protested and the guard was very good so people got their seats - and the dog got put off the one it was occupying exclusively.
Despite the business the train was on time and, though we got wet in a shower on the way to the bus-stop, we were home before 5pm.
We'd heard 3 people from the trip had positive Covid tests so we did some and unfortunately both tested positive, as well, but don't know how long we've had it, probably a few days, and we don't feel ill, just a bit stuffed-up. We'll avoid people for a few days and re-check regularly until negative.
