Cheating with flowers

Sister M sends us photos of flowers in her English garden, to remind us of spring. In Australia, tomorrow is the first day of winter, and the weather is cold and wet and windy, so it is nice to live in two seasons at once.

Surprisingly, two of these flowers from England – the iris and the lilac - are also flowering in our garden right now. Is that sisterly thought transference or just mixed up seasons?
