Wake up Call - Edinburgh Style
We had a lovley visit to Edinburgh Thursday and friday , gott back today. As always we stayed in a small hotel down at Lieth Links which is a very pleasant area of edinburgh. Our room had a wonderful view over the links and we could see over the rooftops to Calton Hill and over to the left we culd see Arthur's Seat.
However, our room was on the top floor and the window directly opposite the top of a lampost. First thing onFriday morning ( and again on Saturday ) we had our rather noisy wake up call. This seagull perched on top of the lamppost and screeched for ages. Makes a change from the usual telephone call fom reception.
After a wonderful warm sunny day spent wandering around the city we went to the Blipfoto " See Us - Scotland's Creative Story" Exhibition which opened on friday night at the Waverly Gate. A most impressive exhibition! Well done all the staff involved in presenting blipper's images so well. It was a real privelege to be part of this and to met up with both the blipfoto staff and fellow blippers. Well done everyone and nice to meet Graham from blip central . Thanks for putting on such a well organised evening with efreshements and a very talented band.
