......... the village is slowly being taken over by bunting and royalty - this a small selection taken within a 100m length of the high street.

I wouldn’t describe myself as an ardent royalist but I don’t dislike them ......... I think it’s an amazing achievement to have done the same demanding job for such a long time and to still be as active in it as the Queen is currently. However, even though I know it’s done in fun as part of the celebrations, it feels a teeny bit disrespectful to tie what looks like a stuffed effigy of the monarch to your front fence ........... just saying, not complaining ;-))
