Pot Of Chives

When the work began on the garden to put down the patio slabs the chives that been pretty well established were dug up and put in this old pressure cooker pot.

After several weeks, forgotten about, under a picnic table, I eventually rediscovered them and was surprised they were still alive, I'm not sure how long they might keep going but so far there's a lot more flowers than usual.......

Do you think they might survive for an extended period in their new home?
