First fire!

It's been getting noticeably cooler after a stunning late autumn spell but today I gave in and lit the first fire of the season.  Oh boy!  Did that feel goooood!!  Lighting my fire is my personal acknowledgement that winter is here, or at least, close enough so as to feel its icy hands.  3 months of fires will follow......maybe 4.  There's little more mesmerising that letting your eyes and mind be drawn into the fiery flame dance.  Not being a fan of the cold, I do love this aspect of winter.
