Garden tea party

This afternoon we were invited to a tea party held by our friends C and B. They have a lovely, informal garden, including  this pond which they created some years ago. To the right of this photo there is a  gentle  slope out of the pond into a small bog garden, so all sorts of creatures  can enter and leave the pond easily and safely. We spotted a few common newts in the pond today. It was a very pleasant occasion meeting  friends and seeing the unveiling of  a painting which B had commissioned artist friend W to paint  for  C's recent birthday.(see extra)
