Bold and beautiful
To the Farmers' Market this morning. Took a while longer than expected as the town was busy and I stopped to chat with several people. Bought some plants for the 'yard and some hand-made cards as well as the meat I'd ordered from a local organic farm.
In the afternoon a trip to Lesbury for afternoon tea with Mary H. We'd intended to go to the 'Secret Gardens of Alnmouth' event beforehand, but set off a little too late for that, so we had a walk around the 'picture postcard' village of Lesbury instead. This bold little robin followed us along the footbridge on the way there and on the way back too. We suspect that someone local feeds him, and if we'd offered him food he would have perched on our hands.
M had invited five people to tea but catered for about 25, and despite our best endeavours we hardly made a dent in the amount of food on the table! After a nice afternoon, we drove home by the scenic route, and were fit for little in the evening except slumping in front of the TV.
